Pastels, Oil
Joan Nicholson is a Pacific Northwest artist who paints in pastels and oils. She earned a BS from Oregon State University and an M.Ed from Seattle University. She also studied at the Gage Academy of Fine Art in Seattle as well as with such renowned artists such as Desmond O’Hagan, Margot Schulzke, Terry Ludwig and Joseph Lesser.
Following and artist’s trip to Europe, Joan discovered the joys and challenges of painting. Retired, Joan spends her days painting and attending classes and workshops. She enjoys painting with other artists and appreciates the camaraderie, support and inspiration they lend to her creative endeavors.
